A road closure has shut down Interstate 10 in Arizona, which has forced the closure of Arizona’s roadways.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the road has been closed since Tuesday afternoon, after a contractor was unable to clear a roadblock on I-10 near Tucson.
The road will remain closed until further notice.
According a statement from the Arizona DOT, crews will be able to clear the road by tomorrow morning.
Drivers in the area are urged to stay off the roads and stay tuned for updates.
Arizona has not been affected by any major storms since the summer, with only one major storm reported on Friday, when the Cascadia Subduction Zone erupted in the Pacific Ocean.
This weekend, the US will see some of the strongest storms to hit the country since the mid-1930s.
